WebDoctor is a Healthcare information system consisting of several subsets all using Internet technology and Java as well as relying on the healthcare application standards such as HISA, HL7 and XML. Client access is enabled using browser services via menus, person search, data entry, update and display, a referral management module and delegation of authority to qualified users. WebDoctor is administrative (person demographics, encounters, typing room, DRGs, reception…) as well as clinical (EHCR, surgery, diets…). It displays clinical domains such as lab, radiology, cytology and transcribed reports.
WebDoctor allows searching for a unique person (patient) across proprietary data within single or multiple healthcare organisations if there is access provided. Webdoctor has two exceptional advantages: simple operation and easy access to data from various databases. It involves the control of different locations, changes of organisational structure, management of the employees, and integration of diverse information systems. However, the principal task that is of paramount importance to WebDoctor is to help offering high quality health services to the patient.
